Alchemy & Liberate: What’s the Difference?
Alchemy – Aromatic, Grounding, and Purifying
- Designed for those who love a sensory experience in their ritual
- Infused with frankincense, turmeric, palmarosa, grapefruit and cedar to purify and uplift
- Deep-cleansing yet nourishing, making it perfect for all skin types
- Jojoba, red raspberry, seabuckthorn, and castor oils work together to soften congestion and restore balance
Liberate – Essential Oil-Free, Light, and Barrier-Supportive
- A minimalist formula, free of essential oils, for sensitive or reactive skin
- High in linoleic acid from hemp oil, making it ideal for acne-prone and compromised skin
- Lightweight yet deeply cleansing, balancing sebum without over-stripping
- Jojoba, red raspberry, hemp, castor, and squalane support the skin barrier and hydration
Both cleansers work beautifully for oil cleansing but neither will emulsify.
A Note on Emulsification
There’s a lot of talk about “emulsifying” your oil cleanser before rinsing, but that only works if an emulsifier is present. Many brands add emulsifiers to their formulas, allowing oil cleansers to rinse away with water alone.
At Skin Frequency, we don’t use emulsifiers - we keep our formulations pure, plant-based, and focused on beneficial botanicals. That means you’ll need a warm, damp cloth to fully remove your cleanser.
